In one of the most charming villages of Pelion, Agios Dimitrios, a complete renovation of a traditional hotel was carried out with the aim of creating a modern hospitality space that respects the local architecture and the authentic atmosphere of the area. The renovation involved extensive demolition of the internal walls, allowing for the complete redesign of the 16 rooms. Small studios as well as larger apartments with separate bedrooms were created, designed to function as autonomous, small summer houses. Each apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen, living room, and functional storage spaces, offering guests a sense of intimacy and comfort.
The design is based on the use of natural materials that highlight the traditional architecture of Pelion. One of the most distinctive features of the renovation is the natural stone floor, which extends throughout all the spaces, emphasizing authenticity and ensuring timeless durability. On the ceilings, the curved forms and the white wooden beams enhance the brightness and the sense of spaciousness.
The traditional double wooden doors, the curved double doors in the bathrooms, and the handmade custom sinks made of polished concrete add uniqueness and a sense of craftsmanship. Special attention was also given to the countertops made of travertine marble, which serve as an impressive aesthetic and functional element of the spaces. The bright and open design enhances the connection between the interior and the exterior environment, creating a peaceful and inspiring setting for accommodation.
The renovation of the hotel in Agios Dimitrios, Pelion, represents a modern approach to hospitality that incorporates traditional architecture and natural materials. With respect for the history of the place and the needs of the modern traveler, the new accommodation offers a unique space to stay, where tradition meets comfort and elegance.
